Grace morning on this sensational and sufficient Saturday.
It's easy to avoid things in life that we should be dealing with. Particularly if you’ve been through hurts, people did you wrong, instead of forgiving and moving on, you push it down. Or maybe you need to apologize, make things right, that's uncomfortable, so you keep putting it off. Sometimes we run from our fears, a new door opens, opportunities, but we're afraid. Instead of confronting our fears, we shrink back. Some people spend their whole life running: running from dealing with the temper. As long as you're running, you're going to miss the greatness God put in you. You can't conquer what you don't confront. Too often we're comforting what we should be confronting, we're making excuses. You can't run from everything that's uncomfortable, thinking that they'll go away. When you get honest with yourself, when you confront what you know you need to deal with, it may be uncomfortable, but God gives you the grace, the strength, to do what you couldn't do on your own.
God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in seastorm and earthquake, Before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains.”
Psalms 46:1-3 MSG
