Grace morning on this wonderful and winsome Wednesday.
Do your best to not let other people determine your image, what someone said, a parent, a coach, an ex-spouse, hurtful words, "You're not good enough, you're not attractive, you'll never amount to much".
That wrong mirror will keep you in bondage. After all it doesn't do any good to give you a promotion, if you still see yourself as lacking, and not enough. What's limiting some people is not the fact that God doesn't have good breaks, favor, new relationships. It's that they won't give God their image. If He takes you to a new level, but you still see yourself the wrong way, you're not going to enjoy it. You have to give him your mirror first. Let him have your image. See yourself the way he sees you, then you can enjoy your promotion. Sometimes it's guilt holding us back, "I made too many mistakes, I don't deserve it". We live on the sidelines of life, no passion, not pursuing our goals. Don't keep that old image, release to God.
“They were caught off guard by this and, not at all sure they could trust him, they kept saying, “Isn’t this the man who wreaked havoc in Jerusalem among the believers? And didn’t he come here to do the same thing—arrest us and drag us off to jail in Jerusalem for sentencing by the high priests?””
