Grace morning on this serene and seismic Sunday.
Sometimes life throws us these unexpected challenges. That’s when the enemy works overtime in our mind, “This is the end. You’ll never get well. You never see your children graduate, just accept it”. When you start dwelling on the negative, you’re giving it life. You draw in what you’re constantly thinking about. You have to guard your mind, fill it with what God promised you. What you do in the difficult times will determine whether you see the fullness of your destiny. Life can be difficult, but you can’t get discouraged, and start complaining, the whole time you’re complaining, God is whispering, “It’s still going to happen, I’m in control”. God wants you know, despite the setbacks, you’re still going to accomplish your goal. Despite the delays, you’re still going to meet the right person. Don’t talk yourself out of it, talk to yourself into it. It’s easy to think, “Nothing good is in my future. I’ve reached my limits”. Why not be a believer and not a doubter?
“Jesus went with them. When he was still quite far from the house, the captain sent friends to tell him, “Master, you don’t have to go to all this trouble. I’m not that good a person, you know. I’d be embarrassed for you to come to my house, even embarrassed to come to you in person. Just give the order and my servant will get well.”
Luke 7:6-7 MSG
